The TRADOC Culture Center tasked me with creating website banners to advertise their services on the Army Training Network (ATN).
When I start a project like this, I create around three non-destructive photoshop documents. Then, I use a color adjustment layer to export 4-5 different color variations for each design. Once I get feedback from the customer, I can get a sense of where the customer wants the project to go and then I can focus on the details of the design. In the Culture Matters banner, Tipping Point Solutions created the original logo, but I had to redraw the logo in Illustrator to ensure vector quality for its use on this and other projects.
- Used Photoshop and Illustrator to create the design
- Used Photoshop "save for the web" options to ensure that images were the highest quality, but sized appropriately
I find that giving the customer plenty of options to establish the basics of the design on the front-end, speeds up the overall project timeline. I believe that the Culture Center is still using some variation of my original work.
